We are committed to providing the best possible customer service while ensuring the safety of our staff and community. Below are the current procedures and important information for the St. Clair License Fee Office.

New Customer Service Procedures (Effective May 5, 2021)

Our office offers both service by appointment and walk-up service.

  • To Schedule an Appointment: Please call (636) 629-6000 anytime.
  • Face-to-face appointments, drop-off transactions, and questions are all handled through our scheduling system.

Office Hours

  • Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Open during lunch)

Saturday: Closed

Driver’s License Testing

Driver’s License testing is conducted at St. Clair City Hall.

  • Location: #1 Paul Parks Drive, St. Clair, Missouri 63077
  • Schedule: Every Tuesday of each month, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Important Information & Requirements

For New or Renewed Motor Vehicle Titling and Registration (MO):

Please bring the following documents:

  • Proof of Insurance
  • Paid Personal Property Tax receipt (two years if applicable)
  • Proof of Safety Inspection
  • Proof of Emissions Inspection
    • Note: Inspections are required only in even years for even-year model vehicles, and in odd years for odd-year model vehicles.

For New or Renewed Missouri Driver's License, Permit, or Non-Driver I.D.:

You will need to provide the following:

  1. Proof of Lawful Presence (e.g., certified U.S. birth certificate, valid U.S. passport, or current documentation for non-U.S. citizens).
  2. Proof of Identity (e.g., Social Security Number or a letter from the SSA if a number has not been assigned).

Proof of Name Change (If your current name is different from your birth certificate—e.g., certified marriage license, divorce decree, or court order).

Accepted Payment Methods

The License Office accepts:

  • Cash
  • Checks (made payable to DOR)
  • Debit cards
  • Credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express)

*Please note: There is a minimum $1.00 or 2.75% fee for using a debit or credit card.
